UK Semiconductors conference 2019, 10th-11th July 2019, Sheffield Hallam University
The UK Semiconductors 2019 conference will be held 10th-11th July 2019 at Sheffield Hallam University (https://www.shu.ac.uk), UK, in association with the TMD-UK meeting on 2D materials and the EPSRC Future Photonics Hub Industry Day (http://photonicshubuk.org/). The UK Semiconductors conference is the largest annual conference on semiconductors research in the UK and 2019 will be the 14th in the series. This year we are co-hosting with the EPSRC Future Photonics Hub Industry Day on 10th July, which unites UK science with companies, R&D organisations and funding agencies, and showcases the latest in photonics research and technology, and explores opportunities to collaborate on key industrial challenges. Conference registration provides full access to both the UK Semiconductors sessions and the Industry Day.
Abstracts
Abstract submissions are welcome on all aspects of semiconductor research. Please email your submissions to abstracts@uksemiconductors.com, stating your preferred symposia:
A – Physics in Semiconductors
B – Optical Devices
C – Electronic Devices
D – Semiconductor Materials and Nanostructures
E – Mid-IR and THz Devices
F – Organic, Organic-Inorganic Hybrid Semiconductors and Perovskites
G – Wide Band-Gap Semiconductors
TMD – 2D materials (in association with TMD-UK)
Abstracts should be a single sheet of A4, sent in PDF or Word document format. Please ensure you include authors, affiliations and corresponding author email.
For this year only we are not holding a dedicated wide bandgap semiconductors symposium for contributed talks, but abstracts are still welcome covering these materials, including III-Nitrides, especially for submission to symposia B,C, and D. IOP Semiconductor Group Research Communication Competition
We are happy to announce that we will again be running the PhD student Research Communication Competition, organised by the IOP Semiconductor Physics group. The competition is open to all PhD students, to give a 3 minute presentation outlining your PhD research suitable for a non-specialist audience. Cash prizes are awarded to the winning presentations.
