NEF Director elected as a Fellow at the Royal Academy of Engineering

We are delighted to congratulate our Director Prof Jon Heffernan in being elected a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering.

Jon joins 73 other leading figures in the fields of engineering and technology to be elected this year, in making an exception contribution to semiconductor research.

Jon was elected at the Academy’s AGM last week, and will be formally admitted to the Academy at a special ceremony in London on 18 November, when each Fellow will sign the roll book. In joining the Fellowship, they will lend their unique capabilities to achieving the Academy’s overarching strategic goal to engineer better lives.
