UK Semiconductors Conference 2026

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all of our speakers and contributors who helped make the conference such a success. In particular, we would like to thank our plenary speakers, Professor Ivona Mitrović, Galan Moody and Alexey Berdyugin, along with Dion Tjhe, recipient of the IOP Semiconductor Physics Group Thesis Prize.

Congratulations also to Youhuang Yang Huang, winner of the Phil Buckle Research Communication Competition, for the presentation Development of Ultra-Thin InGaP/GaAs Tandem Cells for Space Applications.

This year’s programme also featured two highly successful focus sessions: one hosted by the IOP Thin Films and Surfaces Group on Metrology for Emerging Semiconductor Materials, and a Women in Semiconductors session – we will posting a short article on this on our website shortly. Both received excellent feedback, and we thank everyone who contributed to making these sessions so engaging and impactful.
