New Pump Priming Call

The next call for applications to our Pump Priming scheme is open from Thursday 1st October 2026.

The scheme is designed to stimulate UK strategic activity in III-V and group IV semiconductors, helping successful applicants conduct feasibility studies with the expectation of submitting a full EPSRC proposal within 6 months.

Eligible Material Systems

Applications are invited across an expanded range of materials, including:

• III-As, Sb, P, Bi and III-Nitride materials
• Gallium Oxide and related materials
• Silicon Carbide
• 2D Transition Metal Dichalcogenides (TMDs)
• II-VIs
• 2D III-VIs (e.g., GaSe) and hBN
• Topological Insulators (Bi, Se, Te, Sb)
• THz and mid-IR devices
