Growth of the Sheffield Team
We are pleased to announce that two new staff members have joined the EPSRC National Epitaxy Facility team at The University of Sheffield this summer. Jon Wall is our new Epitaxy Technician and Dr Stephen Dobson has joined as an MOVPE Research Associate.
Epitaxy Technician
Jon Wall started his position with us in July as an Epitaxy Technician for both MBE and MOVPE reactors. Jon was previously a technician in EEE at the University of Sheffield for the device fabrication cleanroom, where he did maintenance/troubleshooting on equipment such as ICP, PECVD, Thermal Evaporators, Surface profilers, and Ellipsometry.
MOVPE Research Associate
Dr Stephen Dobson joined us in August as an MOVPE Research Associate and will be growing primarily on our Thomas Swann reactor. Stephen has obtained his PhD from the Nelson Mandela University in South Africa in Sb-based MOVPE growth, and he will be working at developing this capability at the NEF.
