Semiconductor Insights from the Global Expert Mission to Republic of Korea
Innovate UK are presenting the outcomes from the Global Expert Mission (GEM) in the Republic of Korea at the ChipStart UK event this Thursday 13th June from 17:00-18:00 (BST).
The ChipStart UK event is bringing together the UK’s best semiconductor start up companies during London Tech Week, so this will be a great platform to promote the GEM and to further international collaborations as part of the UK Semiconductor Strategy.
Our Director, Professor Jon Heffernan, attended the GEM in February, which was a great opportunity for the National Epitaxy Facility to work together with leading innovators in semiconductor research in the Republic of Korea (ROK).
The visit was arranged to enhance collaboration in semiconductor innovation between UK businesses and academia and ROK’s significant semiconductor industry. Through a series of meetings, the mission reviewed key technologies, policies, and strategies to develop a long-term engagement between the two countries.
