Research Associate Vacancy in Metal-Organic Vapour-Phase Epitaxy

We are looking for an experienced and ambitious Research Associate in Metal-Organic Vapour Phase Epitaxy to join our growing and diverse team at The University of Sheffield.  The post provides an ideal opportunity to lead world-class research and development of MOVPE of As, P, Sb based III-V semiconductors in the National Epitaxy Facility with support from other lead epitaxy researchers and a team of dedicated and experienced technicians.  The Facility currently supports £150M of research grants in 25 Universities and over 40 companies and acts as the UK centre of excellence for research and development in the growing areas of quantum technology and integrated photonics. The Facility is home to 10 epitaxy reactors (including 6 at the University of Sheffield), has a wide range of characterization equipment (SEM, AFM, room- and low- temperature PL, XRD, ECV, Hall effect), and has an extensive 40-year history of providing custom-designed epitaxial wafers to both the academic and industrial research community.
