Professor Rachel Oliver OBE
We are delighted to congratulate NEF’s Professor Rachel Oliver for being awarded an OBE in the New Years Honours List 2025 for her services to Materials Engineering!
Rachel leads the University of Cambridge’s work in the Facility and is the Director of the Cambridge Centre for Gallium Nitride, supplying nitride epitaxy to the Facility. Rachel’s research interests focus on the characterization and exploitation of nanoscale structures in GaN-based materials.
Rachel is also our ED&I lead and chair of the NEF ED&I committee, and a passionate advocate for equality, diversity and inclusion in science and engineering.
