EPSRC National Epitaxy Facility exhibited at the Westminster Photonics and Quantum Showcase
The All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for Photonics and Quantum had invited a select number of industrial and academic organisations to attend the 2022 Westminster Showcase on 6th July to inform the government on the current state of the UK semiconductor industry and the challenges it faces. It was a privilege for the EPSRC National Epitaxy Facility to join other UK leaders at the event and discuss the pivotal role that the semiconductor industry plays for the UK economy and security with MPs and civil servants.
The event was attended by our new Operations and Business Development Manager, Dr Zofia Bishop, who had stimulating discussions on semiconductor research, the role of epitaxy and the National Facility, and the critical need for more skilled people in the UK to grasp the huge opportunities for semiconductor technologies in the years ahead.
